Retribution- deconstruction
Black and white throughout sequence- effective/ matching possibly with theme of film- drugs, violence, darkness.
Voice over throughout, young male..20 ish?
No actual characters displayed at all…voice over only and actions of others, no dialogue or acting from characters.
Gangs, street violence, alcohol drugs, young people(troubles)
Slow druming music, screams and fight sound effects
Death of voice-over’s young sister- guilt? blame? – Revenge.
Swearing, graffiti, alcohol abuse in the young
Point of view shots throughout from behind the youngmale..( main character however not seen as face or character, only voiceover. )
Passers by and stragners visible, however not the male, death of young sister or anyone else’s story explained fully.

- images of ciggarettes, alcohol, messy, poor flat.
- broken glass inside flat, poverty, empty fridge, hunger
- young women, baby and young boy
- no dialogue throughout whole sequence
- rubbish surrounding baby cot- baby crying
- Prostetution- mother at work, leaving baby and young boy to fend for themselves, young boy of about 5 takes care of baby.
- shock to audience
- no food, home alone,
- although no dialiogue, characterisation and sympathy is instant
- Mother takes children to drug deal- she overdoses- dies. Children watching
